Kitchen and bathroom sink plumbing

Installing the drainage system for a kitchen, bathroom, or bar sink is a simple DIY project using ABS-DWV pipe and fittings, solvent cement, and a few hand tools. The installation is commonly done using 1-1/2" ABS pipe. Note that the sink tailpiece trap adapter for kitchen sinks is usually 1-1/2" while bathroom and bar sinks typically require a 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" adapter.
